The water

A hammam is the heart of the wet circuit, low lit and built around a heated stone bed, where guests are exfoliated with VOYA's seaweed based products before the room's steam does its work. An essence infused steam room stands alongside it, its stone seats and walls carrying a eucalyptus mist and a heated marble slab for the final stretch of heat. From there a lough facing relaxation pool takes over, lit by walls of glass and threaded with resistance and seated jets, a mural running the length of the water and three chandeliers overhead.

In the separate Ealu building, a fifteen metre pool with one lap lane sits in a light, pavilion style room built for length swimming rather than lounging, and a jacuzzi and a children's splash pool sit close by. Ealu carries its own essence infused steam room and a Klafs sauna, so guests staying at the castle or the Lodge move between two distinct circuits rather than one.

Treatments

The Ashford Castle Ritual is the house signature, sixty minutes moving from a warm massage and a frangipani hair mask through a radiance facial with cooling eye compresses to a scalp massage and a foot massage, and the spa's own crystal therapy runs quietly underneath the whole menu, in stones placed through the rooms and beneath the beds.

Augustinus Bader facials sit at the newer end of the menu, the product of an exclusive Irish partnership struck in January 2025, and the hammam ceremony draws on VOYA's Irish, seaweed based ranges.
